LuxSE contributes to new whitepaper on Green Bonds

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) joins other players in the sustainable finance field in Luxembourg to share insights in a new series of publications entitled ‘A journey through Green Bonds, Microfinance, Impact Investing and ESG’, published by Banque de Luxembourg Investments, Sperling & Star and BZZ Advisory. The first publication in the series is dedicated to Green Bonds and has just been released.

The high-level paper offers perspectives on the current and future trends of the Sustainable Finance market, from both a legal and business perspective, with a specific focus on Green Bonds. The publication includes an insightful piece written by LuxSE’s Business Development Manager, Chiara Caprioli on the innovative products emerging in the sustainable debt market and how they complement the instrument that started it all: Green Bonds.

Chiara Caprioli is specialised in sustainable finance and has been involved in the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) – LuxSE’s platform entirely dedicated to sustainable securities – since it was established in 2016. In the article ‘The race towards sustainability: Can Green Bonds keep up with the new contenders?’, she takes the readers through examples of increased market diversification and shows how new and emerging products, such as Sustainability-Linked Bonds, EU GBS-compliant Bonds and Transition Bonds are bringing new pieces into the puzzle.

As explained in the article, LGX encourages further expansion of the market and will soon adapt the scope of its platform to reflect new market developments and increased complexity under its strong framework of transparency.
