Displaying funds on LGX

In order to display your funds on LGX, you must fulfil the four eligibility criteria described below.
However, no additional fee or specific form is required on your side: the LGX team will evaluate the funds' eligibility based on the documents you have already provided during the listing process.

• Registration

  To be admitted for display on the LGX platform, the fund must be registered or listed on LuxSE, as per the following three options:

  • Simple registration on the Securities Official List (SOL)

  • One of the two LuxSE markets: the EU-regulated Bourse de Luxembourg (BdL) market or the exchange-regulated Euro MTF

• Fund classification

  Labelled funds are recognised as socially responsible investing (SRI) funds, and are to be classified as ESG, green or social, according to the label awarded.

  • An ESG fund incorporates environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into its investment decisions and processes, following specific investment selection strategies.

  • A green fund invests its assets in sectors and activities that benefit the environment, incorporating specific investment selection strategies into its investment decisions and processes.

  • A social fund invests its assets in sectors and activities that bring social benefits, incorporating specific investment selection strategies into its investment decisions and processes.

• Transparency and disclosure

  Transparency is the fundamental underlying principle of LGX. As SRI funds can have very different investment strategies, transparency of the investment policy and strategies is vital to ensure that investors fully understand the nature of the fund they are investing in. The security card of each LGX-displayed fund discloses the following information (where relevant):

  • Investment policy
  • Investment strategy
  • Exclusion list
  • Impact objectives
  • Engagement policy
  • Voting policy

  Labelled funds may also display fund ratings and affiliations, such as UNPRI, Eurosif, Morningstar or Climetrics.

• Commitment to ongoing reporting

  To maximise transparency for investors, funds are expected to commit to ongoing reporting, at least on an annual basis (funds can report more frequently on a voluntary basis). Ongoing reporting should cover the sustainability performance of the portfolio. This includes a qualitative analysis of how the portfolio has been managed in line with the investment strategy over the last reporting period. Where applicable and available, provision of impact statistics, such as the portfolio footprint, is also encouraged. Ongoing reporting on the portfolio’s sustainability performance makes the application of the investment policy and strategy transparent to investors and allows for easier monitoring. Examples of acceptable reporting formats include: annual and semi-annual reports, consolidated responsible investment reports at the asset manager level, impact reports, newsletters, factsheets, and / or voting reports.

  Impact reporting is mandatory for each fund that is categorised as an ”impact investing” fund.

  A proof of the label accreditation renewal is also required. LuxSE reserves the right to withdraw a security from LGX if it does not abide by the LGX requirements.
