 The status of a member of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange is required in order to directly access trading on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Trading on the markets of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange can therefore only be carried out through an approved member of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. List of current members Becoming a member | Credit institutions as well as investment firms may obtain the status of a member of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. In addition, a fast-track procedure permits companies that are members of NYSE Euronext’s European cash markets and hold a European passport to access the markets of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange in the capacity of a cross-member. Members may opt for the status of dealer, entitled to trade exclusively for their own account, or broker, entitled to trade exclusively for third parties. It is possible to combine both capacities. Becoming a member of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange is a straightforward process and is made up of three steps: the application request; access to markets phase and post-trade. Connectivity to markets Members that are active on the markets of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange may connect directly or opt for the solutions and applications of an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) approved by the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. NYSE Euronext cross-members may access the markets of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange through their existing ISVs. The markets of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange are hosted on a specific segment of the Universal Trading Platform SM (UTP) of NYSE Euronext, which enables the use of the same technical access as that used for access to the cash markets of NYSE Euronext.
